3. Chilli Padi Goodies – Marble Lapis Snowskin Mooncakes

Add excitement to reunions this Mid-Autumn Festival with Marble Lapis Snowskin Mooncakes. A marriage of two traditional desserts: kueh lapis and mooncake. There is also the Chilli Padi which elevates previous renditions of the lapis mooncake. It is done by incorporating a core of cream or ganache, speckled with bits of fruit or feuilletine (sweetened crepes). Thus, creating a marble-like effect.

This creation of each palm-sized mooncake begins with a ring of kueh lapis first. Next, the lapis ring is filled with ganache or cream before being finally wrapped in snow skin. Lastly, it is pressed into traditional wooden mooncake moulds. The entire process is done by hand.

Four variations of Marble Lapis Snowskin Mooncakes include Lychee Kisses, Cranberry Dreams, Autumn Blues and Hazelnut Nights.

Marble Lapis Snowskin Mooncakes are available in two sets. There are the Assorted (S$86.80/4 pcs) and Build-Your-Own ($58.80/4 pcs). Both sets are packaged in limited edition 4-tier and 2-tier tiffin carriers.
