Savour your favourite Sushi Tei dishes with its Silver Jubilee menu – as well as a very attractive lucky draw that may have you flying to the Land of the Rising Sun!

This year, Sushi Tei is celebrating its Silver Jubilee! And to commemorate this special occasion, the brand is bringing back 25 crowd favourite dishes for a limited time period: expect an array of authentic Japanese delights, using premium ingredients such as chutoro flown in twice a week from Japan; Miyazaki wagyu beef that was awarded “Champion Cow” of the 2007 Wagyu Olympics; as well as sea urchin specially flown in from Hokkaido and purple sweet potato imported from Kagoshima.

Besides the special Silver Jubilee menu, you can also look forward to an exclusive quarterly lucky draw! Every quarter, Sushi Tei will send 2 lucky winners on a trip to different prefectures of Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka, Miyazaki or Kagoshima. For this quarter, until August, stand a chance to win a trip for 2 to Tokyo with every S$25 nett spent in a single receipt!

Start off your meal with the Truffle Chawanmushi (S$7.50); warm, rich and slurp-worthy, with every mouthful infused with the heady scent of summer truffle.

Enjoy the freshness of the sea with the Sashimi Moriawase “Churippo”(S$29.80), the ultimate treat for all you sashimi lovers out there! A gorgeous platter laid out with semi-fatty tuna belly, salmon, bluefin tuna and sweet shrimp; every bite is sweet and fresh, especially paired with a dollop or two or wasabi. Our favourites were without a doubt the shrimp and bluefin tuna, succulent and clean-tasting!

As meat-lovers, we thoroughly enjoyed the Miyazaki Wagyu Beef Steak (S$31.80) which features pan-fried premium Miyazaki wagyu that is smooth, lush and melt-in-your-mouth-tender. Pair it with the savoury and tangy dipping sauce on the side for a complete experience.

Our favourite meat dish, however, was the superb Aburi Iberico Pork Cheek (S$10.80). Slices of Iberico pork cheek are glazed in a sweet-savoury yakitori sauce, torched, and dusted with tongarashi (Japanese chilli powder) for a hit of spice. Deliciously smoky, subtly sweet, and oh-so-fragrant, with slivers of pork fat melting in the mouth, we shamelessly helped ourselves to slice after slice – and see ourselves going back for another visit, just for this dish!

Don’t forget to check out the innovative Sushi Tei Chef Challenge Creations at the various outlets too! This is where chefs from each Sushi Tei restaurant pit their creative culinary skills in an island-wide cook-off, and a panel of judges assess them based on creativity, presentation and taste. Winning creations are then featured on a seasonal menu, and the crowd favourite at the end of every season stands to be immortalised in Sushi Tei’s Grand Menu.

There’s also the Chasyu Don S$10.80  (created by Tiong Bahru Plaza), generous slices of pan-fried sliced roast pork topped with an onsen tamago on fluffy steamed rice!

If you’re a mentaiko lover, go for the delectable Crispy Salmon Mentaiyaki (S$9.80) (created by Sushi Tei Northpoint), an indulgent offering of flaky grilled salmon on crisp gyoza skin, topped with generous lashings of savoury mentaiko mayonnaise sauce.
