New Sakura-Themed Food To Enjoy This Cherry Blossom Season 2019

These beautiful treats are the perfect accompaniment to your cherry blossom viewing

Spring and the cherry blossom season are well under way now – if you are not traveling to Japan to witness the pink and white beauties in full bloom, you can still get a taste of sakura here in Singapore. Make it a magical experience by putting together a picnic for you and your loved ones. Fill your picnic basket with the following Japanese snacks and delicacies from various bakeries and markets. Some restaurants have also launched limited edition menus inspired by all things sakura, for a lovely dine-in meal.

We can count on Breadtalk to wow us with a Japanese-inspired range during sakura season! The leading homegrown bakery offers a wide range of sweet and savoury buns, as well as intricately-crafted cakes, available now until 12 May at all Breadtalk outlets island-wide. Delight in your favourite Japanese flavours, including teriyaki chicken, Japanese curry, and Hokkaido milk custard, all wrapped up in soft buns and pastries. The cakes are visual stunners in pretty pink and white, just like the cherry blossoms. Two popular Hokkaido milk cheesecakes make a return, and for smaller, individual-sized sweets, go for the creamy Sakura Cottony Cake and Fuwa Fuwa Sakura sponge cake.
