Pan Pacific’s afternoon tea menus showcase the best that east and west have to offer

Enjoy a lazy afternoon at the Pan Pacific Singapore Atrium. Sip on coffee, tea or champagne and nibble on either traditional Peranakan treats or classic English fare.

The English Afternoon Tea menu

The three-tiered pastry tray is lovingly crafted by Pastry Chef Bastien Jerry who has had stints working at TWG and KU DÉ TA.

Aside from the usual suspects like Dark Raisin Scones and Macarons, Atrium’s new afternoon tea menu also feature vibrant sandwiches dyed with natural colouring agents like beetroot juice and stuffed crab meat and avocado filling.

The three-tiered pastry tray is lovingly crafted by Pastry Chef Bastien Jerry who has had stints working at TWG and KU DÉ TA. The Coconut Cheese Cake and Lemon Meringue Tart in particular are real standouts, delectably creamy and not too sweet.

The Peranakan Afternoon Tea Menu

Peranakan Afternoon Tea

For sweets, there is a selection of kuehs that even a Peranakan grandmother would approve of.

As for the Peranakan Afternoon Tea menu, savoury dishes include perennial favourites like Kueh Pie Tee and Penang Popiah. For sweets, there is a selection of kuehs that even a Peranakan grandmother would approve of. The Ang Ku Kueh and Ondeh Ondeh had just the right skin to filling ratio and the Pandan Kueh Lapis was fragrant without being too oily.

Even the Old School Local Biscuits, also fondly known as Belly Button Biscuits, were surprisingly tasty and different from the ones you get at the mama shop.

English or Peranakan?

Perhaps it’s the local girl in me but if I had to only choose one, I would go with the Peranakan Afternoon Tea menu. Not only does it come with the best Nonya Chicken Curry I’ve had in my life, it includes a wider variety of dishes.

Thankfully, you can easily order one of each menu when you come with a friend. Portions are big enough to be cut in two and shared. Dilemma solved!
