By the looks of hot tables sprouting faster than we can say “Let’s go!”, 2016 does seem to mark a special year for cafe lovers.
Hot on the heels of Singapore’s first Hello Kitty Cafe, Pompompurin Cafe, and Pokemon Cafe, comes the world’s first table service Marks & Spencer (M&S) Café at Wheelock Place.
Hearty and hot meals
Opening on 2 Sep, the 60-seater café will offer menu items like drinks, snacks and hot meals.
Diners can expect British classics such as Fish & Chips and afternoon tea, as well as international favourites such as Indian curries and authentic Italian pasta.
Their brunch selections (from $4.50) look incredibly hearty, with items like Eggs Royale, New York inspired Bagel & Salmon Cream Cheese and more.
To fuel up for a busy day, go ahead and indulge in pasta dishes (from $10.90) such as Four Cheese Ravioli and King Prawn Linguine, or simply share one of their wood fired pizzas (from $17.90) with a friend.
Grocery shopping galore
Those popping by for a shopping break will be well satiated by the range of salads and sandwiches.
After filling your bellies, be sure to take a stroll down the aisles of the existing Food Hall, where more than 600 new chilled food products await.
While you’re at it, why not plan for your next meal? There’s wholesome soups and healthy salads, a variety of cheeses, exotic dips, salmon and a wide selection of fruit and vegetables.
Customers looking for desserts and sweet options won’t be disappointed either. The dessert corner is filled with cheesecakes, yoghurts and puddings like the traditional Apple Crumble — the full works!
