Father’s Day is rolling around soon and it’s time to show daddy how much you care, by taking care of his tummy

Your father will be the man of the hour come Jun 15, so mark your calendars. Father’s Day is quickly approaching.

If you have yet to book a table for a nice meal with Dad, here are a few manly options you can go for with your family.

Basilico

If your dad has an insatiable appetite, try this sumptuous spread at Basilico ($106++ to $176++) with highlights such as Slow-cooked Pork Shank with Dark Menabrea Beer, Maltagliati Pasta with 12-Hour Slow Braised Lamb Ragout and Wild Blueberries, as well as Lasagna with Porcini Mushrooms, Fontina and Wagyu Beef Cheek.

There is also a seafood bar and foie gras station. Top it all off with decadent desserts. Available on Jun 15.

Caffe B

The Father’s Day menu ($60) at Caffe B presents a hearty four-course set meal with an appetiser of avocado and crab before a starter of either gnocchi in brown butter sauce or capellini with Japanese flying fish roe.

You have a choice of miso-braised veal cheek or a pan-seared sea bass for the mains and a matcha crème brulee for dessert. Available from Jun 8 to 15.

 Cedele’s Bakery Kitchen

If a quick lunch or dinner with Dad is all you can afford, perhaps try this Father’s Day special of Pulled Beef in a Whole Portobello Mushroom with Potato Pancake and Salad Greens ($29.80). The pulled beef is fork-tender as it is slow cooked.

It is served with a slice of cake with coffee or tea. Available until Jun 29.

Min Jiang

If Dad loves classic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes, try the dim sum menu at Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel.

There is a Father’s Day semi-dim sum buffet ($68, minimum two people) featuring a selection of dim sum and other savoury options such as steamed sea perch fillet with cordyceps’ flower and black fungus and deep fried prawns with passion fruit mayo sauce.

Restaurant Home

If you have a family of four, perhaps this Gratitude Set Menu ($80.80+, minimum four people) is for you. Featuring dishes such as Barbecued Duck with Lychee Wood, the signature Baked Empurau Fish in Claypot with the chef’s own recipe and Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetable, you’ll be stuffed by the end of the meal.

Available Jun 6 to 15 for lunch and Jun 14 and 15 for dinner (set menu only).

Street 50 Restaurant & Bar

Street 50 will be having a barbecue buffet spread ($38++) for Father’s Day for a meaty good time. There will be appetiser such as Smoked Duck and Citrus Salad and Chilled Roasted Beef and Italian Giardiniera, traditional dishes such as Mee Siam and of course the barbecue dishes.

It comprises dishes such as Thai Kai Yang (Grilled) Chicken, Jamaican Jerk Beef Skewers and Spicy Thai Crayfish. Available on Jun 15, from 6.30pm to 10pm.
