Since not all food stalls are created equal, we’ve narrowed the search down to types of food so that you know where you can get the best dishes available.

Here are a few of our choice picks.

Nasi Lemak Kukus

Serving good nasi lemak and Ramly burgers, this is an excellent place to go for sinful Malay hawker food. They also sell side dishes such as fried chicken skin and chicken wings.

The steamed rice has a grainier texture, and the chicken wings are marinated with kaffir lime for a tangy flavour.

Selera Kita

There is always a queue at Selera Kita, even before the stall opens at 8.30am! Its mee rebus is so good that it usually sells out by 1pm.

Also, the yellow noodles are served in spicy gravy with small dried shrimp for a punch in the flavour.

Super Power Satay

Part of the well-recognised Al Azhar brand, Super Power Satay serves lamb, chicken, beef, and beef tripe satay. They utilise boneless chicken legs, lamb leg meat, and beef sirloin in the satay to achieve the best tasting results and texture.

Warung M Nasir

Located in the heart of Singapore along Killiney Road, Warung M Nasir opens later than most nasi padang stalls. It serves some of the best dishes in town such as beef rendang ayam gulai, ayam goreng, and sayur lodeh.

The begedil, or potato patty, is also something you shouldn’t miss.
