We celebrate the sakura season the way we know best… through food!
The cherry blossom season is in full bloom, and even if you’re not physically in the land of the rising sun, it’s almost impossible to escape the millions of photos on social media of your sakura-hunting friends. For whatever reasons you’re unable to see the beautiful blooms this year, there are still plenty other ways to get a taste of the cherry blossoms right here on our little red dot.

1. Lewin Terrace
Nestled among lush greenery in Fort Canning (where we like to think sakuras would flourish if they were capable of doing so in Singapore), Lewin Terrace introduces a new Spring menu that translates the essence of Japanese springtime through the use of seasonal ingredients. Conceptualised by Chef de Cuisine Hiroyuki Shinkai, the inspiring menu includes the Seabream Carpaccio (pictured), which features slices of seabream sashimi draped across a paper-thin sheet of carrot marinated in amazu. Gold flakes and sakura peel encased in drops of dashi-infused jelly are then sprinkled over, adding a splash of colour and texture to the already magnificent dish.
