The power of customer feedback is evident when IKEA halted its famous chicken wings on 23 May, due to gripes of deteriorating quality.

Some complaints included the wings’ diminishing sizes as well as inconsistent flavours.

According to the furniture company, the main factor was the sub-standard quality provided by its previous Malaysian supplier.

This apparently was due to an increased demand from Brazil in light of a tainted scandal.

But worry not as IKEA brings back its iconic fried chicken wings for good. Plus, it is offering each fried wing at $1 each from now till 7 July.

This time round, IKEA’s kitchen production team has created a new original recipe to improve the taste of the wings.

According to the Swedish furniture chain, the longer marination process of about 48 hours will help the meat to tenderize further and absorb the flavours well.

The famed chicken wings  – limited to 2 plates of 6 wings each, per person – are available at  IKEA Tampines and Alexandra outlets.
