When at The Carvery, let your nose lead the way.

After all, there’s nothing quite like the aroma of grilled meat roasting to perfection over smoky firewood.

From now till 30 June, diners can enjoy the restaurant’s special wood-fired grilled promotion, aptly named Hearth & Heat.

Available from Friday to Sunday, the weekend grill will showcase premium meats and dishes roasted over an Argentinian Grill, which uses hickory and mesquite firewood.

The former is said to offer a medium smokiness that complements beef and lamb, while the latter elevates the natural tastes of beef, pork, poultry and fish.

Both varieties of firewood impart a wonderful smokiness to the meats, resulting in roasts that are tender yet flavourful.

Beef lovers will be satisfied by the Argentinian Ribeye, which is well-marbled and flavourful.

Playing favourites

Our favourite item from the spread is the Hickory Pulled Pork, prepared a la minute and mixed with a house-made BBQ sauce.

The best way to savour the well-seasoned pulled pork? With a side of tangy apple coleslaw and greasy fried bun, no doubt.

A close second is the Honey Lemon Chicken, which is succulent and juicy to the last mouthful. We recommend having a drumlet or two with a side of BBQ Bean Stew.

The Honey Lemon Chicken is succulent and juicy to the last mouthful.

Beef lovers will be satisfied by the Argentinian Ribeye, which is well-marbled and flavourful. To complement the meats, go for rounds of sides like Charred Leek Soup, Polenta Fries and more.

To wash it all down, toast to beers like Asahi Super Dry (draft), Magners and Kronenbourg Blanc, all available at $5++ per bottle.

Those with a sweet tooth, will delight in the Cinnamon and Vanilla Roasted Pineapple for dessert, available alongside other favourites like their signature Trifle and Tiramisu.

If fantastic grilled meats are what you’re after, the Hearth & Heat buffet will leave your appetites well whet.

Available from $52 for lunch and from $62 for dinner (inclusive of a glass of Asahi beer).
