Skip the fast food and leave the nutritional guesswork to these wholesome food delivery experts who will do the calorie counting for you.
Spinacas, derived from the Spanish name for spinach, is homegrown and two years old.
What started out as a 2-month sabbatical to Spain, spun into a healthy food delivery concept for former architect Phyllis Chua. She was inspired by the variety of fresh whole produce readily available overseas and the focus on natural, unprocessed foods and nutrient-dense greens.
Spinacas’ meals are great post-workout as refined high GI carbohydrates are kept to a minimum, and the salads are free of staple starches such as bread, pasta and potatoes.
A must-try is the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Bento, which comes with juicy chicken cubes marinated for 12 hours with a fiery Middle Eastern spice blend and low GI brown rice simmered in an onion-chicken stock.
Prices from $9 for a Classic Petite Salad, spinacas.com.
