From the chef that set out to change how Singapore views fine dining, Chef Daniel Sia now wants to put his spin on the ever popular brunch.

Thumb through the new menu till you reach the last page. There, you’ll find an all day brunch menu that’s available every day of the week (except Mondays). Pick two or three small or big plates at $32/$39 per person  to have a taste of almost everything on the menu.

It doesn’t matter if you have three small plates or three big plates, each dish has been scaled and portioned to comfortably satiate a ravenous tummy on a quest for a delectable brunch. With so many options to choose from, let us make your choice easier by sharing some of our favourites.

TDC Dempsey 11.0 - Steak Tartare

1. Steak Tartare

One of the small plates available is Chef Daniel’s signature Steak Tartare. Instead of the usual minced beef, The Disgruntled Chef’s version is sliced into bite sized pieces, lending some extra texture and bite to the dish. Paired with homemade crackers, each bite lets out a satisfying crunch.

2. Truffle Macaroni & Cheese

Another one of Chef Daniel’s specialties that should not be missed is the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese. Made with four different types of cheeses, even the most devoted dieter won’t be able to say no to this heavenly mixture of crayfish, black truffle and cheesy pasta.

TDC Dempsey 11.0 - Duck & Charcoal Waffle

3. Duck & Charcoal Waffle

New to the menu, the Duck & Charcoal Waffle took four tries to perfect. We love the contrast of the thin, crispy waffle against the moist and tender duck meat. Paired with a decadent foie gras butter, we’ll take this version over any other cafe waffle any day.

TDC Dempsey 11.0 - The Truffle Bikini

4. The Truffle Bikini ($10)

While not a part of the new brunch menu, The Truffle Bikini is part of The Disgruntled Chef’s new Cured & Cultured section of the menu. These light bites are meant to be paired cocktails like the Grand Mimosa ($25) or the  Sea Salt & Chilli Margarita ($18) for those who prefer a boozy brunch instead.

TDC Dempsey 11.0 - Avo-Gato 2

5. Avo-gato ($12)

No meal is complete without dessert and once again, you’ll be spoilt for choice. One of the more unusual selections would be the Avo-gato — homemade avocado ice cream served with a shot of espresso.
