Every beer lover’s favourite festival is back!
By Samantha Francis
It’s mind boggling to think that Beerfest Asia is already in its 8th edition. In fact, it sure didn’t seem too long ago that I was chugging my favourite pale ale while the last World Cup blared on a big screen.
Back from June 16-19 at Marina Promenade, Asia’s largest beer festival will offer beer enthusiasts more than 500 beers alongside tasty grub and endless live entertainment.
While you gather your drinking buddies, here are four festival highlights to look forward to:
Visitors will be able to sample over 500 beers from more than 35 exhibitors.
1. Great variety of old favourites and new beers
Visitors can expect to sample over 500 beers from more than 35 exhibitors — talk about being spoilt for choice! New brews to look out for include Archipelago’s new Singapore Blonde Ale; SABMiler’s Fat Yak, a fruity, American style pale ale; Cockies IPA from the Barrabool Hills Brewing Company and more.
For the best experience, go for the beer sampling platters at $6-$8 per platter of six 50ml portions before making a beeline for your favourite brew.

2. Gourmet grub to fill your belly
What’s great beer without tasty food? Hungry festival go-ers will be well satiated by the wide variety of food selections with Mr & Mrs Maxwell, Tiger’s Milk and Harry’s.
Must-tries include Harry’s signature wings, fish cracklings, Tiger Milk’s Truffle Mac & Cheese, Foie Gras & Beef Patty and more.
Year after year, Beerfest Asia never fails to up the ante on the entertainment front.
3. Endless entertainment
Year after year, Beerfest Asia never fails to up the ante on the entertainment front. This year, a stage line-up of live music and bands will pay tribute to artists like Bon Jovi, David Bowie, ABBA and Elton John.
The Comedy Lounge — a perennial favourite, will also return with an exciting line-up of local and international stand-up comedians. If games are up your alley, don’t miss out on the dart stations, beer pong tables and table football.
4. Asia Beer Awards
Cheer on for your favourite brews as Asia Beer Awards returns to honour and recognise the best in the beer industry, culminating in a prestigious award ceremony on 16 June.
A panel of esteemed judges including beer industry experts, beer enthusiasts and media partners will be handing out Gold, Silver, Bronze medals to deserving winners across 18-20 beer categories.
