By Samantha Francis

Family-friendly restaurants can be a haven for parents who’ve had to suffer dirty looks from fellow diners who get annoyed by the little ones running around or making a lot of noise.

To make things easier for you this June holidays, we’ve rounded up six wonderful cafes and restaurants that will welcome your children with open arms — complete with special kids’ menus, a bouncy castle, a crafts corner or colourful, themed interiors!

Eat Play Love features a craft corner, with a free flow of art materials for both kids and adults.

Eat Play Love — Get Artsy-Craftsy with the Kids

As what its name suggests, this cafe in Kampong Glam offers plenty to eat and play. Filled with quirky vintage decor, old-school snacks and other bits and bobs, this cosy space serves a good mix of affordable Western fare such as waffles and Thai delights like Green Curry Chicken.

The main draw is a craft corner, which offers a free flow of art materials for both kids and adults. For just $5 per hour (two hours on weekdays), the little ones can let their imagination run wild with activities such as making foil art, paper puppets, DIY dolls and monsters, as well as sock monkeys.

Eat Play Love, Aliwal Arts Centre, 28 Aliwal Street, #01-07, Singapore 199918, Tel: 6444 6400
