These days, you’ll be hard pressed to find a comforting bowl of ramen for under $10, but what’s a hungry foodie to do when the chilly weather comes around?

1. Buta Kin
Tucked away at Beauty World Centre is a Japanese food stall famed for its cheap but delicious ramen. The wait at Buta Kin usually takes about 15 minutes or so, but it’s all worth it for the bowl of smooth noodles, rich broth, char-grilled pork and runny ajitama egg. We highly recommend the Special Tonkotsu Ramen ($6.90).
