Just a whiff is all you need to realise that the durian season is almost around the corner.
At Goodwood Park Hotel, the King of Fruits is once again celebrated with much pomp and pageantry.
From 10 Mar to 31 July, the annual Durian Fiesta returns with a spread of 14 premium confections – out of which six are new.
In fact, all items are crafted using a selection of quality D24 and Mao Shan Wang durians, in case any durian connoisseur's reading this.
This year, the addition of ingredients like charcoal, sunflower seeds, salted caramel and matcha, add an extra dimension of texture and flavour to the pungent fruit.

4. D24 Salted Caramel Cuppa, $12 per cup
Our favourite of all, the D24 Salted Caramel Cuppa presents a delicate balance between sweetness and saltiness. The layers of almond sponge, durian mousse, panna cotta and salted caramel will leave you wanting more.
