Meet The Disgruntled Brasserie, the younger sibling of casual fine dining establishment The Disgruntled Chef.

This new concept is decidedly relaxing, with a menu that encourages communal-style dining with small and large plates.

The setting too, evokes a homely feel through handmade Venetian leather banquette and cosy booth seats, alongside vintage-inspired mirrors.

Newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Desmond Goh has done a brilliant job with locally-sourced ingredients, turning them into comfort food with an inventive twist.

Here are five dishes we recommend:

1. Gruyere Cheese Souffle, $16

Love cheese? You won’t be able to resist the Gruyere Cheese Souffle. The lightness of the souffle gives way only to the rich and savoury flavours of chardonnay fondue and caramelised onions. The charred and cheesy edges are a bonus.
