We love our spicy foods. From chilli crabs to fiery stews and even Szechuan mala (literally translating to numbingly spicy) hot pots, we’re game to try them all.

Here are five restaurants that have made a name for themselves thanks to their signature fiery dishes.

Question is, can you handle the heat?

Must-Try: God Fire Ramen

For a ramen that’s unabashedly named God Fire ($14), you expect no less than a tongue-numbing, mouth-tingling experience. Thankfully, this creation from Hakata-style ramen shop Ikkousha Hakata Ramen delivers all that and more.

Each mouthful bursts with the fragrance of chilli oil, with thin but firm strands of ramen soaking up every bit of the broth.

The chashu, while thinly sliced, was tender and well marinated. We liked the soft and molten ajitama egg (ramen egg) as well. To douse the fire, we recommend sharing a bowl of the Tonkotsu Special Ramen. It features simmered, creamy pork broth.
