10 Supper Spots That You Didn’t Know Are Worth The Midnight Drive Out

Late night hunger pangs are always easily satisfied here in Singapore

While staying up late or going to bed on a full stomach are usually frowned upon, there is no denying that the supper culture in Singapore is well and truly alive. And aside from just stuffing yourself with late night goodies, suppertime is also a recreational activity that involves getting together with your bffs to catch up over a hot meal. In our list, we considerately left out the predictable places such as Spize, Al-Azhar, Swee Choon and Chomp Chomp Food Centre, and included in other lesser-known eateries that you can rely on as your  go-to supper spot.

3. Ming Fa Fish Ball (Upper Thomson)

Not all food stores that expand are able to maintain its food quality throughout all outlets. Even after going beyond its first traditional food stall in Chinatown, Ming Fa has been feeding starving night creatures at its Upper Thomson branch with its springy noodles and tender fishballs. Indeed, the brand has made headways since its pushcart days in 1946 and now has seven outlets islandwide.

If you have braved the crowd along this busy supper stretch at Upper Thomson, you definitely got to try the classic Fishball Noodles ($4.5). Other than the fishballs and noodles that are deserving of praise, the mix of chilli and vinegar, complemented by a generous scoop of lard adds a glistening layer to the bowl of noodles adds a whole new dimension of flavour to this sinful treat in the wee hours of the morning.
