Ring in the Lunar New Year festivities at Folklore with Tok Panjang – a customary Peranakan celebration that has heritage food lavished on a long table. Chef Damian D’Silva replicates this time-honoured tradition by bringing a feast of 15 homecooked dishes to his long table, featuring his grandmother recipes of Bakwan Kepiting, Babi Pongteh, Itek Teem and Sambal Buah Keluak. Alongside Peranakan Kuehs and icy chendol, the offerings are to be eaten buffet style – just like how a large Peranakan family would at home. Folklore Chinese New Year Tok Panjang (from $68 per pax) is available for dinner.
