Hello Kitty fans in Singapore are truly in luck.
In May, Singapore’s first Hello Kitty Cafe opened its doors to much fanfare and soon after, the first Hello Kitty Robot “Theme Park” exhibition debuted here as well.
Exclusive Sanrio marker pens
After a slight lull, kitty madness is ready to sweep us off our feet again. This time, 7-Eleven will be unveiling an exclusive range of 12 Sanrio character marker pens for redemption at 433 7-Eleven stores islandwide from 10 Aug to 4 Oct.
Apart from Hello Kitty, other endearing Sanrio characters such as My Melody, Pompompurin and Gudetama will be making appearances as well.
This marker pens, based on these wildly-popular characters, are specially created by Sanrio for 7-Eleven’s much-anticipated loyalty programme as limited edition collectibles.
How to collect
With every $3 spent at a 7-Eleven store, customers will receive one stamp. Bonus stamps are issued for purchases of star products such as a Giant Slurpee and other popular merchandise which rotates every two weeks.
Customers can redeem one Sanrio marker pen with every 24 stamps collected, or with six stamps and a top-up of $4.90, at any participating outlet. For each redemption, a non-specific character marker pen will be given and redeemed marker pens are non-exchangeable.
Eight of 12 character marker pens will be introduced on 10 Aug, while the remaining four will be available from 7 Sep.
For those looking to collect and display the entire set, a colourful spinning carousel can be purchased at $29.90 from select stores. In addition, nine stamps will be given for each carousel purchase, which can go toward redeeming more character marker pens.
