This thrilling film documents the terrifying events and devastating aftermath of a series of tornadoes engulfing the city.

In the span of a few hours, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of the fury of nature. The entire city is at the mercy of erratic and deadly tornadoes.

Most of the residents of Silverton flee or run to seek shelter, while others run toward the vortex, putting to the test how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs and courageous townspeople, Into the Storm throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

For someone who has never experienced tornadoes before, it is surely fascinating to explore what happens when Mother Nature wields one of her most destructive weapons, and how different people react to it. The spectacle is one of sheer wonderment, to the edge of fear, and one you can almost ‘experience’.

Presented in first-person narrative, this disaster film immerses the audience in even greater thrills and suspense. Producer Todd Garner said, “I love how that style really brings the viewer into a story, almost as if you’re an unseen character who is part of the experience, going along for the ride.”

And one wild ride it certainly is.

Extensive visuals and sound effects

In a world with the Internet, most people would know what a storm or tornado looks like. Can the filmmakers deliver an EF5 (the highest rating on the Enhanced Fujita scale of tornado strength) force of nature that would keep even extreme weather junkies on the edge of their seats?

The city encounters various types of twisters throughout the film, such as traditional wedge tornadoes, slender rope tornadoes, and even a fire tornado and a massive two-mile-wide tornado. Don’t be surprised if, more than once, your jaw drops during the film.

In addition to the tornadoes, you get to see their devastating impact on the environment. No effort was spared in creating the digital fury and ravaged foliage trawled up by the storm, including digital rain, debris, tree trunks and car parts.

Not forgetting, the intense, deafening sound that helps the audience to feel the fury of the disaster. Both sound as well as the absence of it, add to the incredible effect.

Even with your eyes closed, you’d be terrified by what’s coming.

An Intense Emotional Ride

Into the Storm promises to be more than just a spectacle of a disaster. The audience would also be captivated by the evolution of the relationships that occur over the course of the disaster-laden crisis.

“Under what can only be described as incredibly chaotic events, people begin as strangers and then experience, in the course of a few hours together, incredible intensity and an overwhelming range of emotions,” Sarah Wayne Callies (of “The Walking Dead” and who plays meteorologist Allison Stone) shared.

“By the end of the experience, they come to mean something to one another in the way that only people who endure this kind of crisis together can,” she said.

Not only will you get to experience the overwhelming assault of the tempest up close in Into the Storm, you’ll be moved by the extraordinary story of courage and survival.
