It’s the 40th anniversary since the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, and to celebrate this occasion, Star Wars fans are in for a mega treat: a three-day Star Wars festival is coming to town.

Star Wars Day: May the 4th Be With You will take place from 4-6 May, 3pm-11pm, at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay. The festival will have a distinctive flair that fans will appreciate, complete with themed activities, character appearances and immersive experiences.

We’ve learned from Artbox, so this time, we’re getting our lightsabers ready for attack. Here are five highlights to make a beeline for at the festival:

1. The SaberTrees and AT-ST

When dusk falls, the famous futuristic Supertrees will be transformed into “SaberTrees”, and glow in resemblance to lightsabers, the weapon of choice of the Jedi and Sith warriors.

Meanwhile, a life-sized All-Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) will be standing guard at the Supertree Grove. For a closer look at this towering replica, head up onto the OCBC Skyway for an aerial perspective of the two-legged armoured walker set against the panoramic Marina Bay skyline.
