The days fly by so fast, it’s almost National Day again! It’s a special year as Singapore celebrates its bicentennial year – 200 years since Raffles arrived on our shores in 1819. To mark the historical occasion, the National Day Parade returns to the Padang on 9 August. Don’t have a ticket to NDP? No problem! There are tons of fun parties and places to watch the fireworks, with scrumptious feasts to boot. Let our guide help you plan a wonderful day with your loved ones.

1. Gardens by the Bay & Mediacorp National Day Concert

Join some of our most iconic singers as well as young rising talents at a concert surrounded by the lush greenery of Gardens by the Bay. Held over two evenings at The Meadow, the concert kicks off on 10 August with Dick Lee, Kit Chan, Rahimah Rahim and Li Fei Hu, the cast of Fried Rice Paradise – The Drama Series, and the alumni of SPOP Sing! 2018 and Mediacorp’s Young Talents Project 2019. Show your Singapore pride as you sing along to classic national day songs like “Home.” The entertainment continues on 11 August with more performers including Jasmine Sokko, and stand-up comedians Kumar and Fakkah Fuzz.
