This Weekend, Stuff Your Face With Free-flow Durian & Longan

You’ll have one hour to eat all the creamy durian and juicy longan you can

Durian lovers, this weekend’s going to be a blissful one for you. Chinatown Food Street is holding its first all-you-can-eat durian buffet featuring different varieties of the King of Fruits.

Held this Sunday, 26 Mar, the buffet session will give you one hour to enjoy a wide array of durian, from the dark horse Red Prawn, known for its orange-red flesh and sweet aftertaste, to the premium and crowd-favourite bittersweet Mao Shan Wang.

The admission fee costs $25 and the buffet will be held in two sessions: 5pm-6pm and 7pm-8pm. Registration is now open here.

Other varieties available include the creamy and bitter D24, the Golden Phoenix that’s slightly sweet with a hint of bitterness and the D13 that’s less fibrous and has a sweet aftertaste.

If that sounds like sorethroat in a weekend, don’t fret. To cool down in between the rich durians, you can also enjoy a free-flow of juicy longan to cleanse your palate.

If it makes you feel any better, durian and longan are fruits too. Just be sure to cart a big bottle of water with you.
