Restaurant Review: Black Tap Serves Up Deliciously Juicy Burgers And Crazy Shakes At MBS

New York City’s Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer finally hits our sunny shores!

While we’re familiar with the ‘freakshake’ trend that hit Singapore not too long ago, Black Tap’s massive shakes give a whole new definition to the term ‘monstrosity’. If you’re a cookie lover like me, go for the Cookie Shake ($19)-featuring a vanilla-cookie shake, topped off 2 giant chocolate chip cookies, topped off with whipped cream, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce.

Looking for something wayyyy over the top? Try the indulgent over-the-top Cake Shake ($22)- a frosty vanilla shake, with a layer of rainbow sprinkle coating the rim of the glass, and topped off with a generous slice of funfetti cake. Now this is a shake you don’t need a special occasion to treat yourself to!

One signature burger that you have to try is their classic All-American Burger ($22) featuring a succulent prime beef patty, grilled to medium-rare perfection, topped with the works of lettuce, tomato and cheese. As far as timeless burgers go. I’d say they’ve definitely aced this one.

The Old-Fashioned ($22) is their take on the ol’ mushroom swiss burger. A hefty prime beef patty topped off with gooey melted Swiss Cheese, sweet caramelized onions and cremini mushrooms. This indulgent burger comes with a side of creamy horseradish sauce to help cut down the richness, so you don’t end up feeling too gelak.

Black Tap is definitely the place to go if you love burgers and shakes. And with such a great menu, you’ll definitely be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing what to order. Our first order of business: Treat yourself.
