#ThirstyThursdays Newly Opened MO Bar Serves Up Top Tipples

Enjoy unique, regionally curated cocktails at Mandarin Oriental Singapore’s newest bar concept.

Located on the hotel’s fourth floor, MO Bar offers spectacular views of the Marina Bay with their stellar floor-to-ceiling windows.

The bar’s sophisticated décor incorporates travel artefacts, hand-carved wooden sculptures, etched metal panels and hand-woven tapestries. A distinctive bar counter takes centre stage and offers guests a front row seat to view the skilled mixology team in action.

The drinks menu—created by Bar Manager Michele Mariotti, features 14 cocktails; including ‘Coconut Beaches of Fiji’  ($28.00) with pisco, lychee cordial and carbonated coconut cream. The list also includes mocktails, beers and wines, and a one-of-a-kind MO BAR Pilsner, developed in collaboration with local craft brewery, Archipelago.

The Rough Waters By The Coral Sea ($26.00) features an earthy herbed cognac wine with edible coral. Inspired by an unexpected tropical storm over the Great Barrier Reef, we’re glad to have wine and cognac to keep us strong and in good company.

According to local legend, the gods sent a family of dragons to protect the bay against invaders. The dragons were sweet like sugar and as beautiful as a red berry, resulting in this eye-catching cocktail, Mother of Dragons ($26.00)— concocted using strawberry aloe vera, red dragon fruit juice and cachaça. What a sight to behold indeed!

Inspired by the colourful artistry of Peranakan tiles, The Roaring City ($24.00) is an exciting tipple consisting of sparkling pineapple tapache, topped with vermouth jelly. A delight on the palate, and a great drink to usher in the weekend with after a hard week’s work.
