Restaurant JAG: Savour Artisanal French Food And Fine Dining At Duxton Hill

Pull back the curtain on Duxton’s newest fine-dining experience

Located at Duxton Road, Restaurant JAG offers a fine dining experience spread across two floors. Level 1 is tailored for romance or intimate gatherings, while the lounge and bar on level 2 are outfitted with Chesterfields and intimate bar seating, perfect for work meetings at the end of a long day.

The artisanal approach is evident in every detail of the new restaurant: From the custom wood and stonework created by craftsmen from around the world, the white-gloved Gueridons in the dining room, the custom glasswork from Kimura, Japan, to the selection of indigenous herbs from the mountainsides in Savoie, France, it is the attention to details in all the little things that communicate what Restaurant JAG is all about.

Head on up to the second floor to start your evening with a couple of drinks at their intimate lounge, where you’ll discover a some of JAG’s special cocktails ($18.00 each), crafted using the very herbs grown in their kitchen garden. The cocktails are leaning towards the herby side, each with its unique flavour note.

Gin lovers will love the bitter citrus tipple called The Keeper; featuring barsol  pisca, sage syrup and Agastache herbs, while the ladies will love The Relaxer, a floral cocktail featuring umeshu kanjuku ume, jasmine green tea and Angelique.

Don’t miss out on their bar bites as well! We had their Beef Tartare ($28.00)— it was really seasoned and whet up our appetite for the next part of dinner.

Diners at JAG will be in for a bespoke epicurean fine dining experience with their 7 or 10-course discovery degustation menus ($168.00, $218.00 respectively), each dish beholding a surprise for the diner and curated around their individual dietary preferences and inclinations.

As with most fine dining restaurants, do come with time to spare as it takes around 2 hours to work your way through the 7-course meal. And the next question you may ask— what dishes should I expect? It remains as yet a mystery, only to be answered when your gastronomic adventure takes you to the restaurant to experience it for yourself!

Alternatively, diners can also pick the 5 Expressions ($98.00), an exquisite 5-course dinner, that includes an amuse bouche to start off your meal. And for the discerning, a 3-course executive lunch course is also available.

As a gesture of appreciation, each dining table will receive a gift at the end of their meal; such as a signature bottle of olive oil or a box of unique tisane from the mountains of Savoie, both of which are exclusive to Restaurant Jag.
