Nutmeg & Clove Unveils Flavours & Memories Volume 6: The Cocktail Diaries

Nutmeg & Clove has launched an exciting menu for all thirsty tipplers.

Founded by industry veteran Colin Chia, Nutmeg & Clove is a restaurant & cocktail bar that pays homage to Singapore’s rich history with its modern Singapore cuisine and progressive cocktail program.

“Inspired by a traveller’s observations and musings while visiting Singapore, our latest menu reveals stories and little known facts about the country.” shares founder Colin Chia. The exciting new menu – Flavours & Memories Volume 6, is inspired by a traveller’s account of visiting Singapore.

The Cocktails of  The Real Singapore

For all the thirsty travellers, the new menu compromises 10 new cocktails. Begin the journey with GMT Martini (S$24++), inspired by the traveller’s discovery of Singapore. Do you know that Singapore had changed time zones six times since 1905? Yes, the time will depend on which year you arrive in Singapore.

Garden City

Move on to Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO Heritage Site and the only tropical garden in the world. Garden City (S$24++) pays tribute to this remarkable icon with a concoction comprising Hendrick’s Gin infused with Musk Melon, shiso, Empirical Spirit Ayuuk, lime and honey.

Probably the cutest named cocktail, K-Tea-V (S$24++) offers a glimpse of where men and women love to go for a good karaoke session.

Can Bubble Gum?

Do you know that chewing gum was banned in 1992? Dive into the traveller’s musings about Singapore’s strict laws inspired Can Bubble Gum? (S$24++), a strong and punchy beverage prepared with Cordigo Mezcal, strawberry, lemon, distilled tabasco and bubble gum air.

Otak Otak

The dishes we highly recommend include Lobster Kueh Pie Tee (S$22++), made with sliced Boston lobster and mango passionfruit salsa; Otak Otak (s$16++), comprising rempah and sea bass wrapped in banana leaf and SG Scotch Egg ($18++), consisting egg encased within a mixture of minced kurobuta pork and lap cheong.

Nutmeg & Clove Ice Cream Sandwich

For those craving something sweet, don’t miss Nutmeg & Clove Ice Cream Sandwich (S$12++), comprising a generous portion of Michter’s bourbon-soaked brownie flanked by two slices of fried Hainanese toast, is sure to hit the spot.
