New Cocktails 2

Morton’s is ready to whisk visitors on a new journey, with a whopping selection of 20 new cocktails.

As a creature of comfort when it comes to my favourite drinking holes, I consider Morton’s Bar my home ground.

For years, its unbeatable Mortini Nights were a standard midweek respite.

Available nightly from 5 to 7pm, the promotion lets one knock back signature cocktails for just $15.95 each, in between mouthfuls of delectable (and free flow) filet mignon sandwiches.

These sandwiches, simple as they looked, were delightfully buttery buns that held tender and well-seasoned slices of beef — absolutely worth the wait as the waiter makes his rounds.

New cocktails

Now, the dining establishment is ready to whisk visitors on a new journey, with a whopping selection of 20 new cocktails (from $28).

The new concoctions are a welcome addition to the family of crowd favorites like the Lycheetini and Chocolate Mortini.

You’ll find bold and creative creations that range from the botanicals-centric to the fruity.

For those who fancy a slice of the past, try a classic cocktail like the Bourbon Old Fashion (1885), teased with muddled bitters and dry orange liqueur.

Mini Burgers

The Mini Crab Cakes BLT’s and Three Prime Cheeseburgers were both excellent.

Tipple and bar bites

A spirit-forward choice would be the whiskey-based tipple Blood And Sand (1922). Severe sounding name aside, this well-balanced cocktail comes with Glenfiddich 10 Years Single Malt Scotch stirred with Cherry Liqueur, and is finished with a touch of Martini Rosso and orange juice.

If you’re suffering from post-vacation blues, nurse your sorrows with the refreshing Palm Beach Passion. Pineapple infused Stolichnaya is tamed with passion fruit liqueur and fresh lime juice for a citrusy, zesty drink.

As you sip on your poison of choice, be sure to line your belly with one of the many bar bites on the menu. The Mini Crab Cakes BLT’s and Three Prime Cheeseburgers were both excellent.

Lunching with Bloody Mary

Apart from new tipple, Morton’s Singapore will also be introducing their Sunday Lunch menu from 4 September onwards. It will feature a decadent three-course menu along with a bold selection of Bloody Mary cocktails. Expect highlights like an 16oz Slow Roast Prime Rib, perfect for a family treat.
