Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, Thailand’s Michelin-awarded Eatery Opens In Singapore

Serving up the Thai version of this Singaporean classic

Thailand’s Michelin Bib Gourmand award winner, Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam, will open its doors in Singapore later this month as Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice, giving Singaporeans a taste of Thai Hainanese
chicken rice.

Established in 1960 as a food stall specialising in Hainanese chicken rice in the Pratunam district of Bangkok, Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam quickly gained popularity among locals. Today, the brand is synonymous with the area, and in 2018, was awarded the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand Award.

At the Singapore outlet, diners can expect to taste the signature chicken and
rice dishes, braised pork, and their homemade chilli sauce. There are
also various side dish offerings, as well as desserts, all of which are great for sharing and creating the communal dining experience that the brand hopes to achieve.

To ensure the authenticity and quality of the food, all kitchen staff were trained by Go-Ang founder, Mr Sombat Pruekpaiboon at the original restaurant in Bangkok. He is also assisting with the launch of the Singaporean outlet to ensure that customers here receive an authentic Go-Ang dining experience, a high standard that has allowed the brand to flourish over the past 50 years.
