YUN NANS opened their first restaurant in Singapore in 2019, and the family restaurant has won the hearts of many with YUN NANS highland cuisines. Fans of YUN NANS now can look forward to a brand new concept that they have brought into the Northern part of Singapore –  YUN NANS Stonepot Fish (蒸汽石锅鱼) at Northpoint City.

The restaurant marks Singapore’s first Stonepot fish concept that specializes in cooking live fish using high-pressure steam à la minute in front of customers, resulting in a hearty pot of fresh, naturally sweet, and collagen-rich fish soup.

This kind of unique high-pressure steaming method is completely smokeless to extract the most natural flavours of the fish while retaining its tenderness.

Watch the fish cook right in front of you, and all it takes is 4–6 minutes to present the perfectly cooked fish soup. You can also choose from choices of seabass, patin, or soon hock, available starting from S$28++. Each catch is live, fresh, and sweet. They are cooked in the soup base of choice for a collagen-rich broth.

You can choose from two signature soup bases such as The signature Collagen Fish Soup (S$18++) that is first simmered for over six hours with dried scallops, salmon fish head and bones and old hen before pressure-steamed with ginseng, solomon’s seal (Yuzhu) and more. The Wild Mushroom Soup (S$18++) is the product of Yunnan’s Shangri-La Matsutake mushrooms, gently brewed for three hours an earthy goodness with wild porcini, porkbones, old hen and Yunnan ham and more.

To sweeten the soup, you may also add a variety of other hotpot ingredients Such as premium meats of beef, lamb, pork and seafood. Vegetables are aplenty like wheat pumpkin, lotus root, chayote leaves, spinach, golden fungus and Lijiang purple heart potatoes which are a specialty of Yunnan.

Crispy Barramundi Collar

Yunnan-style specialty sides and hot dishes such as Crispy Barramundi Collar (S$9.80++), Grilled Clams with Spicy Garlic Sauce (S$12.90++) and more are also available.

Fragrant Scallion Rice

Complete your meal with a bowl of Fragrant Scallion Rice (S$3++) that is filled with dried shrimp, shiitake mushrooms and shallots or sweeten things up with their Mango Bamboo Sticky Rice (S$8.90++).
