Also try the Wazza (waffle + pizza) and spicy Mexican tacos

In the north of Singapore lies a gem of cafe you might not know about yet.

Tucked away in Sembawang and hidden from prying eyes is Common Chefs, a cafe cum bakery which serves unpretentious, affordable and delicious comfort food inspired by both Western and Asian flavours.

Here are some dishes we loved:

1. Rich Man, $16

Perhaps Common Chefs abides by the belief that calories don’t count on weekends, hence the very sinful Rich Man is only served on those two days.

Sandwiched between two buttered brioche buns is a chorizo patty, layered with sauteed mushrooms, caramelised onions and scrambled eggs.

While paired with crispy tater tots, its real accomplice is a miniature pitcher of melted cheddar cheese.

Slosh, douse or drizzle the cheese, the choice is entirely up to you.
