Get drunk on the best
Held at the Capitol Theatre, the third edition of Asia’s 50 Best Bars makes a return with its inaugural awards ceremony.
While one less from 2017’s list, Singapore proves to be a force to be reckoned with 12 local bars making on 2018 Asia’s 50 Best Bar List, of which The Regent’s Manhattan bar was crowned as best bar once more. Another honourable mention is Native’s head bartender Vijay Mudaliar who was awarded with the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award. The bar itself has climbed an impressive 12 places to clinch the No.8 spot.

1. Manhattan (No.1)
There already have been clear indications of Manhattan’s second victory on 2018 Asia’s Best Bars list. The grandeur of the bar’s sprawling space of dark wood, marble and leather, the complex concoctions inspired by American history and even the decadent offering of an adult-only branch served on Sundays, complemented by free flow craft cocktails. First time at the posh watering hole? Then order namesake cocktail, Manhattan, blended using Micter’s US1 Straight Rye whiskey, to have a taste of the bar’s full embodiment.
