This one’s like your favourite Restaurant Week, but with a green twist.
From Nov 23-29, go green at 17 of Singapore’s hottest restaurants, including Absinthe and Humpback, which will be offering all-vegetarian menus priced at $30++ and $45 for a four-course set lunch and dinner respectively.
Additionally, each diner will also receive a complimentary 330 ml bottle of Fiji Water during their meal. Whether you’re vegetarian or not, this will be a great way to appreciate the different textures and tastes found in a plant-based meal.

3. 12 exciting new dishes
Having been in Singapore for 12 years (already?!), Din Tai Fung needs no introduction. To celebrate this milestone, the restaurant chain has introduced 12 new dishes consisting of a variety of appetisers, light and tasty snacks, steamed buns and dumplings and sweet desserts.

A vain and pompous Emperor decreed that the 50th anniversary of his reign be celebrated with the most extravagant National Dress Parade of all time. Two cheeky tailors present the Emperor with an eye-popping ensemble literally woven out of thin air.

2. A famed poet in the flesh
Lang Leav is known for her heartbreaking poetry and prose, which have risen to popularity as young adult literature. Mark your calendars for a book signing session with Lang Leav on Saturday at Times Tampines 1.

3. The cast of Mr Unbelievable
Ahead of the Mr Unbelievable movie, which releases on Dec 3, you can meet the film’s funny fellows in a meet-and-greet session this Saturday at Junction 8. Catch actors Chen Tian Wen, Liu Ling Ling and Jaime Teo and director Ong Kuo Sin as they reveal behind-the-scenes outtakes for the movie.
Can’t make it this Saturday? There will be another session next Sunday (Dec 6), where cast members Marcus Chin, Roy Li and Tosh Zhang will join in as well.

1. Paint your own Chinese opera mask
The Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall’s Wan Qing CultureFest 2015 has just kicked off, and this weekend is chock-a-block full of fun activities. On Saturday, paint your own Chinese opera mask; and on Sunday, you can embark on a food-and-heritage trail through Balestier, then spend the night enjoying traditional Chinese opera under the stars.

2. Play family games, meet a mermaid and win prizes
A number of family carnivals are on this weekend! At White Sands, meet Singapore’s first mermaid, who will share stories and songs from her adventures. There will even be a mermaid tail workshop for kids (Nov 28-29), workshops at Pasir Ris Public Library for the entire family and promotions at White Sands stores.
While you’re in Pasir Ris, make a stop at Downtown East too. Here, you can compete to build the tallest sandcastle using kinetic sand and have a shootout with Boomco gun blasters for the ultimate Boomco championship title.
For families with even younger tots, head down to D’Marquee at Downtown East, where a giant indoor carnival will give your kids (aged six months and up) a fun play day. Enjoy free try-outs and performances from leading schools and enrichment centres in Singapore, a large indoor play area with ball pools, inflatables and kiddy rides and even contests for the entire family to win attractive prizes.

3. Help provide food to the needy
This November, Nivea Cares hopes to rally support from Singaporeans and fans of Nivea. For the month of November, $2 from the sales of Nivea’s limited edition banded packs will go directly to Food from the Heart, a non-profit food distribution programme. The campaign will help provide 24,000 beneficiaries with the basic necessities needed for daily living.
